The problem with Fields is anticipation passes. Good qbs usually have the ball out even before the wr breaks to his spot. Hes always doing checks and hitch routes. He needs the wr to look at him to throw. A 6yd pass on 3rd and 13 is just a sample on Fields abilities.

Is this the same Chase Daniels that said the Bears should have traded the 1st pick?! And we are to trust him now, Nah….

I liked what I saw from Williams, the o line, and the play calling in general. Getting him out of the pocket sometimes was good, keeping the D guessing. the throw away on the goal line in the red zone should have been a touchdown however. He'll make that play more often than not going forward based on the rest of his performance. A good enough start for sure.

I watched his game this morning and I was waiting for your breakdown to validate what I saw. I was obviously blown away. Also I hope you make it home for a couple games this year. Should be a special year at The ZOU

He has 3 things that can't be coached imo. Pocket awareness, strong arm, and a lightning quick release. He also "sees" the field which can be coached, to some extent, as far as going thru progressions but he sees things more "naturally" for lack of a better word. I played QB thru HS and some college and my biggest problem was "field vision". I think that is one of Justin Fields problems along with a slow release and bad pocket presence and why I don't ever see him being a very good QB. I think sky is the limit for Caleb, he has it all imo, and not just based off this 1 preseason game. 🐻⬇️ ✌️✝️

7 first downs with multiple defensive looks is a great start, the points will come with time. Chase, thoughts on teams using GoPros on QB’s helmets? Seems like it will take unnecessary verbiage in play calling.

Caleb definitely has the talent to be the 1st 4K Bears QB. His arm accuracy and precision, his ability to read defenses like a pro already, his pocket ability, and his footwork are godlike. Hopefully next week Rome will get to have a big moment, too.

The POISE of this kid impresses me. Seems very aware of the field and where everyone is around him. Very hard, or impossible, to teach that sort of awareness and understanding of time/space. Obviously still has everything to prove but I like what I'm seeing.

Caleb's poise in the pocket is next level for a rookie. The coaching staff did a great job making sure that he understands some of the blitz packages that he will see during the season. 🐻⬇️

I love how the bills didn’t really pull punches. I expected a more vanilla defense but they ran cover 4, some type of cover 3 variant, man and zone and a play with both 2 high safety and a dropping safety to single high. Caleb did a great job pre-snap adjusting the line and pointing out the mic. Promising potential 🐻⬇️

No chemistry with the 0-line and he went 5-6 with a nice deep pass but we all agree he needs to fix the fumbling issues if he wants to prove the doubters wrong. Overall I would still give him a C+ which isnt good enough.

This is the opinion I was waiting for. Once he did good, I knew Chase was going in on this and telling us all the goods!

Very nice 1st NFL action. As a die hard Bears fan, I am very excited for the Caleb ere...at the same time tempering expectations as he is a rookie QB. I hope people stop saying his season will be a failure if he doesn't match/beat CJ Strouds season from last year.

Field's is good for the opening drive and then the wheels fall off after that. He won't make any adjustments at the line and doesn't see the field well.

I’m not a Milton hater necessarily but damnit he makes it hard to be a Milton fan. He will wow you one play with his talent and then make you rip your hair out the next. He has struggled to process the field in real time and in my opinion his non-chalant approach is the issue. He’s either non-chalant or completely freaking out. In my opinion he’s a bit of a headcase. Truly a baffling player with limitless potential, who struggles with consistency. I just want him to make the routine throws routine

If they can stay relatively healthy, they have a good shot at it.

To turn down all that money bc the qb situation is so bad has got to hurt NE. Tough decision for him to make but honestly that’s shows how bad he wants to compete and that he isn’t just looking for money.
